The company METASFERA SRL has carried out an investment project with the financial support of the European Union and in particular through the contributions of the OP fesr Sicily 2014-2020 action 3.5.1_02
The objective of the investment program is the start-up of a company for the management of multi-channel means of mass communication, with the latest generation digital technologies and innovative methodologies, for tourism and cultural promotion.
In particular, it deals with the creation of mass media of information and the management of telematic newspapers, on its own and on behalf of third parties.
The information activity via digital media will aim at the themes of broadest interest in the thematic areas related to tourism and the enhancement of cultural heritage in Sicily, strongly driving sectors, considering all the aspects consistent with the branding process of the Sicilian territory, intended to strengthen the identification of its places as tourist destinations and cultural destinations.
Activities
The project is embodied in an editorial business activity for the management of multi-channel mass communication media, with latest generation digital technologies and innovative methodologies, through the implementation of specific operational solutions for the start-up of an efficient production structure in the field of telematic publishing and through the study of tourist, cultural and food and wine attractions pertaining to the territory. Online journalism has thus paid the utmost attention to enhancing the cultural identity and tourist aspects of the Sicilian territory. To this end, it made use of an efficient regional network for content processing, organized by provinces and places of greatest interest. Sicily, the reference market for project activities, was territorially defined according to objective and precise references, in 9 provinces, 390 municipalities and 12 special places. For the implementation of the innovative business architecture, the creation of the management software platform and the same repertoire of digital content necessary for the creation of the portal, we made use of experimentation, trials and tests. Sharing via the web and social networks, which are lent to articles, news and material on the site, presupposes that each piece of news has been processed, accompanied by texts, photos, audio and video and paginated, becoming a digital content accessible with a simple link. The advanced use through portable personal telematic devices also provides the possibility that, in addition to accessing the portal via browser, the user can use it in mobile mode. The platform contains 402 monographic repertory sections, including both audiovisual repertory files (repertory films), and folders of static repertory images (photogalleries), as well as hypertextual web pages.
Results
The company has achieved its project objectives by carrying out an intervention for the use of editorial content via computer, via personal mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.).
Today, the project makes it possible to carry out mass communication activities through the use of quality cross-media information content in extremely short times, thanks to a production structure with an integrated architecture of content management systems to easily edit the story-telling. scalable digital for information contents that concern the entire regional territory, taken as a reference area.
